Valerie Godinez: Hello, I want to let ya’ll know that I am Solid Liberal, I believe us as citizens and residents of the United States have the potential to make a big change in our country if there's enough motivation. This would be for me the first year I would vote and I am somewhat (not really) excited to do it since the candidates are not the best. I am taking this class because my major is social work and since is a career that is linked to the government I need to know more about what's going on with the United States. I would like to refresh all the things I did in high school. I expect to come out of this class with a full knowledge of how the United States government is run and how we have come to where we are right now. I did better in the current events quiz rather than the civics literacy just because I am more aware of the things happening right now than the things that happened in the past.
